Marrianna and I returned home this afternoon. While driving home, Marrianna asked me if I felt any different now that I am a granddad. My answer was no, but on further thought, I think I do feel a bit differently.
Being a grandfather, even an honorary one as I am, is a humbling experience. It's an opportunity to provide a base of love and perhaps guidance to a new life, a responsibility I take very seriously. Holding Quinn Wilder Perkins is an opportunity to look at a future and be thankful his parents will provide a strong base for growth.
Enough thinking. I can't put every photo I took this week on the blog, but there are a few I think I should squeeze in. Here is one, taken less than eight hours after his birth. Anastasia knit the cap. He was 8 lb 12 oz and 21 inches long.
This is of me, holding him less than eight hours old.
This was taken Wednesday afternnon with him on my lap.
Yes, I think it's safe to say I feel differently as a grandfather. I hope readers forgive my indulging myself with photos of my new grandson.

A big welcome to the Might Quinn :-)
